Letter from the President
Dear Members, Friends and Supporters,

It is an extraordinary honor to lead the Junior League of Orange County NY during such an inspiring moment in our history. As we approach our 104th anniversary this March, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the generations of women who have worked tirelessly to strengthen our community and advance women’s leadership across Orange County.
This League year offers much to celebrate. We will mark the 40th anniversary of the People for People Fund, a regional partnership we co-founded with the Times Herald-Record to assist hardworking families who find themselves facing temporary challenges. At the same time, we’re thrilled to host the 20th annual Orange County’s Rising Stars Awards, honoring extraordinary leaders shaping the future of our region. Both milestones reflect the League’s enduring commitment to identifying community needs and investing in innovative solutions that empower others to thrive.
Looking toward the future, we are equally excited about our newest signature initiative — bringing a children’s museum to Orange County! This project reflects the League’s mission in action: building connections, enriching lives, and creating a lasting impact for families across our community. With collaboration, creativity, and some bold leadership, we’re laying the groundwork for a space that will inspire curiosity and learning for generations to come.
Above all, I am deeply proud of our members. Every success we celebrate stems from their dedication, compassion, and growing leadership. The Junior League of Orange County is, at its core, a powerful training ground — a place where women learn, lead, and lift one another as they make a tangible difference in the world around them.
As we honor our rich history and look ahead to what’s next, I invite you to join us — as members, partners, and supporters — in shaping the next century of impact in Orange County. Together, we will continue to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community change through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
With gratitude,
Ginny Townsend
